The Scholars Programme
We launched the Scholars Programme for 70 of our More Able students in Year 7, 8 and 9 last academic year.
Through this programme, identified students worked work with The Brilliant Club trained PhD tutors to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they needed to progress to higher education at the most competitive universities.
To introduce students to the programme and give them a taster of student life at a competitive university, there was a launch event at Goldsmith's, University of London, on Thursday 13th October.
After the launch event, students on the programme received 6 in-person tutorial sessions (1 session per week) in small groups delivered by the Brilliant Club trained PhD tutor. At the end of the programme students completed a final assignment of up to 2000 words, that is marked by the using the university grading system. The assignment allowed students to show the progress they made on the programme.
