Jack Petchey Achievement Awards 2013

The Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards 2013 were recently held at the Civic Hall in Grays. 

Nominated students from Thurrock schools were rewarded at the event, including The Gateway Academy.  Students past and present, along with Librarian Mrs Pat Maher, received their much-deserved Jack Petchey awards from The Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Yash Gupta MBE. 

The students were fantastic and Year 8 student, JJ Rogers, despite being ill took to the stage and performed with his guitar a brilliant rendition of Ed Sheeran’s Drunk.
