Renaissance Reading
The Gateway Academy and Primary Free School have taken reading by storm this term and have read over 67 million words in Years 6-9 since September this year!
The Renaissance Reading programme has been absolutely fantastic for the students, enabling them to improve their comprehension and spelling skills.
Some of the star readers include: Albie Bullivant, Louise Danahay, Ashleigh Doyle, Katie King, Mateusz Handerek, Molly Johnson, Lolade Olasoji, Tillie Rounce, Daisy Smith, Alisha Squelch, Maisy Webb, Gemma Wiggins & Jack Woodger.
The aim is to reach a target of 100 million words by the end of the academic year!
